I couldn’t have said it better myself

The Double Life By Don Blanding*

How very simple life would be
If only there were two of me
A Restless Me to drift and roam
A Quiet Me to stay at home.
A Searching One to find his fill
Of varied skies and newfound thrill
While sane and homely things are done
By the domestic Other One.

  1. I absolutely love your website. You entries are articulated so well. As I read excerpts, I heard asking life questionsi.e., what’s going to happen next, I’m shocked but glad I “did it …” and hey, I’m on my way to fulfill my life goal. It was astounding when I realized you (and siblings) are in different states (soon in another country in your case). I couldn’t bear to see you board that bus headed for D.C. I know I would have lost my emotions (tears, sad face, …). I didn’t and don’t want to be factored into you travels where you would feel more uncertain about going… Your peace of mind, self actualization, achievements, safety and growth is the “golden ring” I pray and feel you will grab. I hope you feel where I am coming from with this “soap box” comment. Now that you are on your way, I can say “please be safe, enjoy, learn, love, grow, let us know when we can join you and where…

I am so proud of your courage and determination. It dawned on me just the other day, when I gave birth to you on March 30, 1973, I realized you gave birth to me.

My love for you is infinite and I miss you already…Please be safe and blessed.
